MEET Uptowncharlybrown Stud's MANAGEMENT TEAM:

Bob Hutt was born and raised in New York City.  He’s the proud CEO, President and founder of Uptowncharlybrown Stud LLC, a thoroughbred management company.  We started in 1999 with a dozen investors and here we are a quarter of a century later with 400 investors almost exclusively by way of mouth.  We're extremely proud of our 5 star ⭐️ rating on Google.

Bob wears many hats as he's also a co-producer in Back To The Future, The Musical the award winning “smash hit” now on tour in North America, London, Germany, Japan, Sydney & China.

If that wasn't enough, Bob was elected President of the PTHA (Pennsylvania Thoroughbred Horsemen's Association) representing over 2,500 owners, breeders and trainers.  Bob’s owned, bred, and managed racehorses for 40 years as he's familiar with every aspect of the industry.

The breeding end of the operation is headed up by, Joerg Hoffmann, UTCB's Sr. Vice President.  Joerg manages 3 stallions, two dozen broodmares, weanlings & yearlings. Joerg is hands on and interacts on a daily basis with all of our wonderful investors.  You have questions, UTCB has answers. Not many partnerships other than UTCB Stud can boast that they’ve placed in the top 1% out of 25,000 Owners in the Equibase Standings for nine consecutive years.  

Uptowncharlybrown has risen to become Pennsylvania's #1 stallion with progeny earnings of over $11 million dollars.  For three decades, UTCB Stud has become a family - where friends meet similar to the long running NBC sitcom CHEERS. On any given weekend you can find your fellow partner’s visiting the barn & backstretch watching our horses train.  You, your family & friends are always welcome to join us.   Our barn is our social club where partners share a passion and love for our magnificent warriors.

At UTCB Stud we make owning a thoroughbred racehorse simple, fun, exciting; and most importantly, AFFORDABLE.  Where else for as little as $500 for a 1% micro-share interest can you enjoy all the privileges of FULL OWNERSHIP!  After enrollment the only other bill is $200 every 3 months (quarterly, not monthly) up until your horse starts racing and paying its own way.  

At UTCB Stud you don't have to spend like a millionaire to feel like one.  Visiting the barn, being on the backstretch talking to your fellow owners, jockeys, and trainers, as well as being inside the paddock on race day is special.  When we win, you'll swear you're walking-on-air as you waltz into the Winner's Circle!  Just wait until that precious win photo arrives at your home a keepsake that will last you a lifetime.   

The one element in racing that forces new owners to leave the business almost as quickly as they enter is always TRAINING EXPENSES.  Make no mistake, this is the Sport of Kings and for good reason.  The cost to feed/care for a thoroughbred racehorse can be as high as 72,000 per year.  That’s never a problem at UTCB Stud because owning a micro-share means expenses are shared with your fellow investors.  

UTCB Stud offers unmatched first-class service with the best communication skills in the industry.  We email weekly educational updates.  You’ll never read "the horse is racing, be there!"  Instead we teach; constantly fielding questions from our investors making the entire experience a fun exciting time for everyone. 

A huge difference between UTCB Stud and our competitors is we offer young unraced two-year old's where your upside is "the sky's the limit!  We race primarily at PARX, with side trips to Gulfstream, Saratoga, Aqueduct & Belmont, etc.  Everything is included in enrollment "soup to nuts" without any hidden surprises.  As a "Limited Partner" your personal assets are fully protected.  

At UTCB Stud we offer unraced two-year old’s in training. Owning a thoroughbred racehorse is exciting as you never know when you’re going to find that next special champion.  We’ve been blessed at having owned multiple stake winners.  We don’t buy other people’s stake horses as some of our competitors often do as we prefer to develop our own.  

Today “Charly” as he’s affectionately known is an outstanding sire standing at Mountain Spring Farm where he’s become Pennsylvania’s unquestioned #1 stallion. He's set all sorts of stallion award records in 2023 and again in 2024 becoming only the second stallion ever in Pennsylvania history to earn over $200,000 in stallion awards in a single season.  We also offer micro-shares in Eastwood and Warrant two of our other stallions.
